LifeInMotion Exercise Physiology is an established, locally owned allied health clinic that has been providing genuine health care to the Mackay region for over 15 years

Our Purpose is to provide evidenced based exercise prescription and education to help people achieve their health and well-being goals while providing a positive, inclusive environment for our community.

MEET OUR TEAM

  • Shaneen has been practicing as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist in the Mackay region for over 15 years and has grown LifeInMotion to a renowned allied health business. She has extensive experience in Cardiac Rehabilitaiton from her 10 years working as a Cardiac Rehab and Heart Failure Specialist at the Mackay Base Hospital. In addition, Shaneen has always had a passionate interest in the role that exercise plays for the management of diabetes and has recently completed her Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education. ‘Exercise is Medicine’ is what she preaches in her practice and aims to provide the necessary education to all her patients about how correctly prescribed and monitored physical activity can help improve chronic health conditions and wellbeing.

Shaneen

  • Erin completed her Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology in 2018 and is one of our Senior Exercise Physiologists. She has experience in exercise prescription for a range of chronic conditions with a strong interest in exercise oncology, balance and falls prevention, paediatric development and working with people with a disability. A holistic, patient-centred approach is something Erin prides herself on, which allows her to achieve long-term health management and lifestyle goals for her clients.

  • Bailey completed his Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology in 2022. He is passionate about assisting the elderly improve their quality of life and maintain independence as they age. He is furthering his education in musculoskeletal rehab prescription for upper limb injuries and has a strong understanding of the many factors which influence rehab management, including mental health barriers, behaviour change and physical restrictions. Bailey also provides education and exercise consultations to men affected by prostate cancer through the Eligard program.

Bailey

  • Kira completed her Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology in 2022. She has an invested interest in neuromuscular exercise therapy and has completed her level 2 in Neuroplasticity in Parkinson’s Disease. Since joining LifeInMotion, she has developed a passion for the delivery and management of evidenced-based exercise prescription for those living with a disability and musculoskeletal injury. She understands that every individual is unique and seeks to create a positive, inclusive environment for her clients, no matter their age or ability.

Kira

  • Madison completed her Bachelor of Exercise Science in 2022 and is currently studing a Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology through JCU. She has developed an interest in exercise prescriptioin for paediatric development and those living with disability. Having worked as a Lifestyle Support Worker for the past 2 years, she understands the importance of providing social interaction, inclusion and opportunity to improve one’s wellbeing. Madison is currently performing our workplace functional assessments and will also be a friendly face on our administration team.

Madison

  • Layton completed his Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology in 2023 and is now working full time in our clinic. He holds an ASCA level 1 accreditation and has worked in strength in conditioning for the past 3 years, delivering performance programs to athletes at both junior and semi professional level. Having assisted in rehabilitating a range of injuries, Layton is passionate about musculoskeletal health and understands the importance of correct movement mechanics for injury management and prevention. He also enjoys working with neurological conditions and believes in being able to provide everyone, no matter their ability or background, the opportunity to improve their quality of life and confidence.
