NEUROMUSCULAR

REHABILITATION

Neurological disorders relate to those that affect the brain, spinal cord and their connecting nerves. Neuromuscular conditions result when the nerves that control voluntary muscle contraction and sensory communication back to the brain are affected, leading to muscle weakness, atrophy, movement deficits and fatigue.

How can Exercise Physiology help?

Exercise Physiologists have extensive knowledge on the role that specific movement has on treating a range of neuromuscular disorders. A tailored exercise program will include strength, mobility, balance, plyometrics and core stability modalities appropriate to an individuals ability. This comprehensive approach is critical in optimising neuromuscular coordination and muscle function and confidence in lifestyle tasks.

At LifeInMotion we are proud to be able to provide individuals with an accessible gym and advanced rehabilitation equipment to safely and effectively participate in a supervised environment.
